This article is about an older version of DF.

Dwarves with the refuse hauling labor enabled (default) will participate in getting rid of unwanted garbage by hauling it to refuse stockpiles or tossing it into the chasm, depending on your standing orders. They will also dispose of items designated for chasming via the stocks screen once you have a bookkeeper.
