A serpent made of pure fire which can inject liquid fire as venom.

Fire snakes are fire-proof vermin. They spawn only around magma sites, which are defined as the original biomes, not channels that carry magma away from magma pipes or magma pools. They may start fires, so don't locate booze (or coal or graphite) stockpiles near magma (or passages leading to magma)

Liquid fire is an extract derived from fire snakes at a butcher's shop by a dwarf with the animal dissector labor enabled. It has no known use except as a trade good, worth 500☼ per vial (plus the value of the vial itself).
