Oysters are a common source of food for fortresses located near an Template:L. They are also one of the few types of creatures, along with Template:L and Template:L, are sources of Template:L. They can't be butchered, but are cleaned at a Template:L, which generates a shell and prepped oyster. Oysters can also be cooked raw, though it is unknown what effect this might have on your dwarves libidos...
