Flies are Template:L that will occur in swarms around your food stockpiles. They will rot your unprotected Template:L (including unpicked farm Template:L)[Verify] and they cannot be Template:L. All dwarves will be annoyed by their presence, while some outright hate them (and some even like them for their ability to annoy). Unlike most other kinds of vermin, Template:Ls can not kill them.
