Decapitation: a Hydra's greatest weakness.

A Hydra is a megabeast with seven necks, seven heads, seven mouths, and fourteen eyes. However, a Hydra will usually only drop one skull, unless one chops off several heads, in which case the heads will individually rot to one skull a piece.

Decapitating even a single head will cause it to very quickly die from blood loss, making it considered the easiest of megabeasts.
