Welcome to the Dwarf Fortress Wiki. This is a collection of user-submitted guides, information and advice for "Dwarf Fortress". Dwarf Fortress is a game for Windows, Linux and Mac, developed by Bay 12 Games featuring two modes of play, distinct, randomly-generated worlds (complete with terrain, wildlife and legends), gruesome combat mechanics and alcohol dependency. The wiki currently has 10,049 articles.


Most dwarven soldiers are kept awake by the things they had done in battle, others make sure their deeds rob the goblins of sleep.
You monster! Killing too many children at once will make everyone sad. You need to kill them slowly so nobody notices.
