Dormitories are a type of multiple-bed Template:L, similar to the Template:L. Instead of hosting the military, dormitories host civilians[Verify]. It is designated from a Template:L.
To create a dormitory, press q, highlight a bed, press r, then -/+ until you have the size you want. Then press d.
Bugs
Currently there is no practical use for dormitories as dwarves do not, at this time, respect bed assignments properly. Dwarves will sleep in any bed available, regardless of any form of designation.v0.31.12Bug:34
