Despite their name, tiger irons cannot be used to make tigers or iron, nor have they been documented removing tigers from wheels. Rather, they are unremarkable low-value gems found in sedimentary layers.
In Real Life
Tiger irons are related to the tigereye and cat's eye gems, where iron striations in the stone give the appearance of a tiger's stripes.
Actually, has shiny yellow bands on a black (or very, very dark yellow) background.
