This article is about an older version of DF.

A mead hall is a structure built by humans, serving as the seat of the local government for a town.

Mead halls are ostensibly built from wood (though a keen-eyed observer will note that they're actually made of Stone, as wooden constructions don't exist in this version) and are 2 floors tall - the bottom floor consists of a large open space containing 4 tables (each surrounded by 2 chairs) in the center and 5 beds along one wall, and a ramp in one corner leads up to a small overhang containing 2 sets of tables and chairs. The town's mayor can usually be found here and may offer quests when spoken to.
