A temple is a structure devoted to the worship of a deity, located in Human towns and Goblin fortresses.
Priests can be found in temples, and talking to one in adventurer mode will allow you to join the local sect of their religion with the conversation topic 'Service' and begin worship of that entity. An adventurer can then converse (k) anywhere with any deific object of worship, though it will only respond with silence.
