Blood Gnats are a type of above ground vermin. They are found in swarms near pools in evil areas. They may cause food to rot, and will inspire an unhappy thought in any dwarf that encounters them.
Despite their description, they don't damage dwarves beyond the aforementioned unhappy thought.
