This article is about an older version of DF. |
Malachite is one of the three ores that can be smelted directly into copper, and can also be combined with other ores to create five different alloys. Malachite is found as veins in marble and limestone, and represented as a green £ in an unmined wall.
"Malachite" is also the name of the fifth month of the dwarven calendar, covering mid-Summer.
Smelting[edit]
Malachite can be used to make a wide range of metal bars at a smelter:
- Copper bars
- Brass - with sphalerite
- Bronze bars - with cassiterite
- Trifle pewter - with 2 cassiterite
- Fine pewter - with 3 cassiterite
- Billon - with native silver, horn silver, galena, or tetrahedrite
