- File:Criminal dwarf.jpg, used in criminal: credits Terry Colligan, likely because of this Pinterest post, but he is not the creator. Using reverse image search it turns out the image is older than that, the original artist being KaRzA-76, this being the original source (on DeviantArt). The artist has been contacted.
- File:Dwarf_thinking.jpg, used in critical thinker: credits Falisia, the original artwork is this on DeviantArt. The artist has been contacted.
- File:Dwarf_horse.jpg, used in mount: credits alarie-tano, the original artwork is this on DeviantArt. The artist has been contacted.
- File:Dwarf_builder.jpg, used in carpenter: credits RDMP, but the original artist is Jon Hodgson, the original artwork is this on DeviantArt. The artist has been contacted.

- File:Deity_preview.jpg (on this wiki on page deity), is JasonEngle's art made for Monte Cook Games Invisible Sun.
- File:Dwarf_monk.jpg, used in martial trance, original art by The-Fronti on DeviantArt. Supposedly uploaded with permission from the creator to use only on the Dwarf Fortress Wiki.
- File:Giant_rat.jpg, used in giant rat, has apparently originally appeared in Wizards of the Coast's Monster Manual for Dungeons and Dragons fourth edition, based on Forgotten Realms wiki. No artist attributed, even though it is uploaded with Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license.

- File:Dwarf_justice.png, used in justice: credits gustav_black, but this seemingly is just a redditor who has at some time used/posted the image. The original source could not be found even using reverse search engines.
- File:Mouse_man.jpg, used in rodent man. No artist credited.
- File:Animal_people_prev.jpg, used in animal people. No artist credited. The image is spread across the Internet, and other people outside this wiki also mention the fact that the original artist can't be found.
- File:Large_rat.png, used in large rat. No artist attributed, even though it is uploaded with Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 license.
