Memorials are buildings which can be built from the build menu under Alt+slab. They are made by an Template:L using an unengraved Template:L at the Template:L. Once engraved, they can be built as an alternative to Template:Ls - failure to memorialize or entomb a deceased dwarf may lead to Template:L.
You can create a Template:L from a memorial's query menu.
Note: You can also create memorials for Forgotten Beasts that have died. Place these in your nurseries so your dwarvlings know how awesome their fortress is.
