Welcome to the Dwarf Fortress Wiki. This is a collection of user-submitted guides, information and advice for "Dwarf Fortress". Dwarf Fortress is a game for Windows, Linux and Mac, developed by Bay 12 Games featuring two modes of play, as well as distinct, randomly-generated worlds (complete with terrain, wildlife and legends), gruesome combat mechanics and ubiquitous alcohol dependency. The wiki currently has 2244 articles.
"Whenever I torture someone [in Adventure Mode], I like to 'slug' them. I remove their ears, nose, teeth, and tongue, and break both of their legs. I call it "slugging" because all they can do is crawl around on the floor and cry. Then I like to follow them around and talk to them about the weather." — paroonshark
The latest version is v50.15, released on December 12, 2024.
