Welcome to the Dwarf Fortress Wiki. This is a collection of user-submitted guides, information and advice for the Roguelike game "Dwarf Fortress". Dwarf Fortress is a game for Windows, Linux and Mac, developed by Bay 12 Games featuring two modes of play, a distinct, randomly-generated world (complete with terrain, wildlife and legends), gruesome combat mechanics and vicious schools of carp. The wiki currently has 10,043 articles.
Now-corrected highlights include the game getting confused about who owned the tomb after a mummy came back from the dead, leading to the mummy's zombies sieging themselves, and two dwarven spies diligently maintaining their enemy cover identities even when they came to live in the player's fort, confusing the local soldiers and starting civil wars. -- Toady One
The latest version is v50.13, released on March 6, 2024.
