This article is about an older version of DF.

Tin is a metal that can be found anywhere in the fortress in the form of cassiterite ore. Cassiterite can be processed into tin by a smelter, though cassiterite can put to better use by forming a bronze alloy. Tin can be formed into metal crafts, furniture, and coins. Items made from tin are just as valuable as those made from copper.
