This article is about an older version of DF. |
A smelter is a type of Template:L used to process Template:L into more useful Template:Ls of Template:L in a process called Template:L. Conventional smelters require Template:L, either Template:L or Template:L.
The Smelter is also the place where Template:L take items to be Template:Led back into Template:Ls. Melting a Template:L item may cause the creator of that item to throw a Template:L.
Building
To build a smelter you must use gray Template:L Template:Ls - blocks made from light or dark stone, Template:L, or Template:L cannot be used. The Template:L is then a two-step process - first a Template:L with the Template:L Template:L enabled will bring the blocks and design it (using the Building Designer skill), and then a Template:L will perform the actual construction. These can be but need not be the same dwarf. Using dwarves with no Template:L training will get the job done, but will result in buildings of slightly less architectural Template:L.
There is also a Template:L of this building, which is built next to the Template:L using Template:L Template:Ls and requires no Template:L. Note that the process of making Template:L or Template:L will still need one unit of Template:L or Template:L.
