The weaver skill is used at the Loom to make cloth from pig tail and rope reed thread and cave spider or giant cave spider silk thread. Unlike most intermediate goods, cloth has a quality value, so dwarves with high skill in weaving will weave higher quality cloth. Collecting spider webs also requires the weaving skill, and trains the weaving skill.
