Black bears are the smallest of all bears, and also the most common. They usually comes along roughly once every second year. They are known to raid your alcohol storage, if the storage is close to the surface. The black bear can be killed by a single war dog, but usually it takes two or three and probably only one will survive. An average hunter can kill it with five to ten arrows or bolts. You could also capture them and tame them, but they don't make a good defense force. (RIP all the poor Black Bears tied up at people's entrances).
