The Dwarf Fortress Wiki
Welcome to the Dwarf Fortress Wiki. This is a collection of user-submitted guides, information and advice for the Roguelike game "Dwarf Fortress". Dwarf Fortress is a game for Linux, Mac and Windows, developed by Bay 12 Games featuring two modes of play, a distinct, randomly-generated world (complete with terrain, wildlife and legends), gruesome combat mechanics and vicious schools of carp. The wiki currently has 10,075 articles.
"...go to reclaim artifacts that were either stolen by kobolds or something, or maybe weren't yours to begin with, and you can be bad dwarves. Start some shit." — Toady One
"Those rivers are out to get you. Why do you think you can't fast travel across them? Because it's an ambush!" — Uzu Bash
The latest version is v51.05, released on February 12, 2025.
