Armor Stands are a type of decorative Template:L. Much like the Template:L, the armor stand can be used to lay down a Template:L, or it can be placed in a Template:L Template:L to Template:L them.
When used in a barracks designated for individual and squad equipment, dwarves will prefer to store their armor on stands instead of stockpiles. Doing so in concert with Template:Ls will allow you to create centralized armories for your military.
