Anhydrite is a Template:L Template:L of base Template:L that is only found within various types of Template:L. In real life, anhydrite is essentially dehydrated gypsum, and on contact with water will immediately hydrate and soften. In Dwarf Fortress, anhydrite Template:Ls are just as effective as floodgates made from Template:L.
Oddly, unlike the gypsum types in which it occurs, anhydrite cannot be used to make Template:L.
