Mechanic is a category profession for dwarves that work with mechanisms. There is only one skill in this category, and any adult Template:L whose best skill is Mechanic will be known as a "Mechanic".

Mechanic |
The mechanic skill is used for manufacturing Template:Ls at a Template:L, placing and loading Template:Ls, and building and linking Template:Ls and Template:Ls to objects such as Template:Ls, Template:Ls, and other contraptions.
Higher levels of mechanic skill enable a dwarf to produce higher quality mechanisms and complete jobs more quickly.
