Although they may appear harmless (or resemble Human diplomats), Unicorns are not to be underestimated. Unlike ordinary horses, unicorns have a sharp horn on their forehead with which they can quickly perforate your Dwarves. If left alone, they will be content to prance about outdoors, but provoking them can potentially incite a rampage.
Unicorns cannot be tamed (not even by a maiden), and a dead unicorn can't even be butchered to yield valuable meat, fat, or leather; left to rot, however, its bones can be used to produce surprisingly valuable crafts.
