Militia Commander is a noble in charge of the militia of your fortress. They lead a squad of up to ten soldiers and also command the militia captains.

Due to recent releases giving the military tactics skill a real purpose, it is advised that you pick a dwarf with already high military tactics (or try to train it up) if you want to invade your neighbors.
