This article is about an older version of DF.

A Jeweler's workshop is a workshop for a jeweler. A jeweler uses this workshop to:

  • Cut rough gems into something usable
  • Encrust certain objects with gems

See Gem industry for the full flowchart. When ordering gem setters to encrust goods with gems, you can choose between furniture, finished goods and ammo unlike other decorating jobs which will simply choose the nearest applicable object to decorate.

Due to a bug, it is not possible to add "Encrust with gem" work orders using the Manager - the jobs will be added, but they will forget what they were intended to encrust.
