Coffins, caskets, sarcophagi or burial receptacles are Template:Ls for deceased dwarves and Template:L, used to store their Template:Ls or other Template:L. Dwarves prefer to inter their dead and pets in coffins/tombs rather than leaving their corpses to rot. Using coffins avoids Template:L, prevents the spread of miasma, and the ownership of a particularly nice or valuable tomb may give the owner a happy thought[Verify]. Once it is Template:L to that location, it may then be designated as a Template:L and activated (allowed) for citizen burial.
For a general cementary just put a lot of coffins in one room, and allow them to be used for burial with q and then b for each coffin. Tombs are for nobles.
