The Whale shark is one of many shark species implemented in Dwarf Fortress. The whale shark is the largest living fish species (whales are mammals) in Dwarf Fortress as well as in real life. They are gigantic (about 20 tons) and produce vast amounts of food when butchered. Like many other aquatic animals they don't produce bones.
