This article is about an older version of DF.
A huge herbivore with thick plated skin and powerful build. It is known for the thick horns on the end of its nose.


Rhinoceroses are essentially small elephants, as far as most dwarves are concerned. They are found in tropical biomes and can be tamed only by a Dungeon master.

Also, like elephants, when tamed, they require so much grass from a pasture that it is impossible for them to avoid starvation.

As a war animal, their large size and gore attacks make them a solid choice for supporting marksdwarves if you mod in a more reasonable [GRAZER] value.
