- A huge, round, hairless river creature. It is a plant-eating animal but has long tusks and can be aggressive and deadly if disturbed.
Hippos seem to be peaceful, friendly and not very intelligent Template:L Template:L with a strong tendency to make loud noises while ... reproducing. But this is not quite correct. Every Template:L who was courageous enough to settle near the ever growing colonies of the hippos will soon describe them as the monstrous beasties they are: stealthy, bloodthirsty killers who will assassinate every innocent dwarf on sight![Verify]
Since they can become very tall and heavy (~ 1.5 tons), they are a great Template:L source when Template:Led. They are also a great source of occupied coffins.
Beware skeletal and zombie version of this creature.
Whilst hippos themselves are the bloated, evil tempered masterminds of the demise of many a dwarf, undead versions of this creature truly prove that armok likes dwarf blood just as much as that of any other species.
