Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.
A large hooved animal with curved horns and a thick black coat. It is known for its strong odor.

Muskox are very hairy and strong herbivores, living in cold and temperate grasslands. They are able to pull wagons and can be used as pack animals by merchants.

Being rather heavy (~290 kg when grown up), having a value multiplier of two and and yielding hooves it may be a good choice to start a breeding program. Unfortunately only a dungeon master can tame them. They require a pasture to survive.
