- A tiny sea creature which dwells on the ocean floor, devoid of senses or motion.
As a bloodless, brainless blob, sponges cannot be killed by standard combat, like their giant versions. They can be airdrowned pretty easily however, and all instant kill methods do work.
Unlike giant sponges though, they are quite nonthreatening. While their push attacks are not exactly harmless, normal sized sponges can only inflict bruising to dwarves because of the sponge's tiny size, and are therefore better training dummies than the Giant sponge. You may not want to try this on children though, since most dwarven children are far smaller than a sponge.
Sponges were sponsored by the generous contributions of the Bay 12 community.
