This article is about an older version of DF.
An animal person with the head of the amphibious olm. It lives underground near water.

Olm men (and women) are aquatic and can, therefore, travel freely through the lakes of underground caverns. Be careful about building underground wells near groups of these creatures as they have been known to use such openings in poorly designed well-rooms to find paths into unsuspecting fortresses.

Olm-people can also wield weapons and should not be taken on by untrained, unequipped dwarves. A group of Olm-people can take out a group of untrained dwarves, even if the dwarves outnumber the Olm-people 2:1. Commonly used weapons include spears and blowguns.
