This article is about an older version of DF. |
These are to be used with certain Creature tokens (namely, ITEMCORPSE).
An item is described by four tokens, as such:

All items are made of a material. Several types expect a creature ID or plant ID, so trying to create them will not work correctly - the material you specify will be interpreted as a creature ID or plant ID, so the first 49 creatures/plants can be selected by using the corresponding material.
Item type tokens

5 | STONE | Raw mined stone. |
6 | WOOD | Wooden logs. Material must be WOOD. |
7 | DOOR | Doors. |
8 | FLOODGATE | Floodgates. |
9 | BED | Beds. |
10 | CHAIR | Chairs and thrones. |
11 | CHAIN | Chains and ropes. |
12 | FLASK | Flasks. |
13 | GOBLET | Goblets. |
14 | INSTRUMENT | Musical instruments. Subtypes come from item_instrument.txt |

57 | SKIN_TANNED | Leather. Material must be LEATHER. |
58 | BONES | Bones from creatures. Material is a creature ID. |
59 | SHELL | Shells from creatures that have them. Material is a creature ID. |
60 | LEAVES | Leaves, usually from quarry bushes. Material is a plant ID. |
61 | THREAD | Thread gathered from webs or made at the farmer's workshop. |
62 | CLOTH | Cloth made at the loom. |
63 | TOTEM | Skull totems. |
64 | SKULL | Skulls of dead creatures. Material is seemingly a creature ID. |

78 | DRINK | Alcoholic drinks. |
79 | POWDER_ORGANIC | Powders (such as flour or dye) from milled plants. |
80 | CHEESE | Pieces of cheese. |
81 | FOOD | Prepared meals. Subtypes come from item_food.txt |
82 | LIQUID_MISC | Liquids such as water and lye. |
83 | COIN | Coins. |
84 | GLOB | Fat, tallow, and small bits of molten rock/metal. Also works with blood, vomit, mud, and slime. |
85 | ROCK | Small rocks (usually thrown in adventurer mode). |
Item subtype tokens
Most item types have no subtypes. "NO_SUBTYPE" is used for the subtype position for these. For items that do have subtypes, the subtypes are defined from the raws for that item type as noted above.
