Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.
A large ape which lives in the tropical forests. It lives in complex social groups of many members. Though it is quite intelligent, it has been known for ferocious attacks.

Chimpanzees are social animals found in tropical forests that can be dangerous in groups. An unarmed peasant can usually kill one chimpanzee, but generally falls to two or more. Usually, there are two or more.

Chimpanzees have a decent pet value of 500, but cannot be tamed until the Template:L arrives. They can live up to eighty years, so a dwarf that takes a chimpanzee as a pet will have it a long time.
