Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.
A huge, hairless mammal, found grazing in grasslands in groups. It eats plants which it lifts up with its long trunk. When angered, it will attack with its long tusks.

Elephants are trainable into War/hunting elephants at the Template:Ls by a Template:L with the Template:L Template:L enabled.

Being the largest land animals besides Template:Ls, they are sure to make a good choice to train and put in your Template:L. Their sheer size means that they pack a huge blunt force, making them good against pretty much anything, including well-Template:Led Template:Ls.

They come with Template:L Template:Ls pre-tamed but they can also be caught in Template:L and Template:Ld by one of your dwarves, without the assistance of a Template:L, making them an even a greater choice for a war animal.
