- A medium-sized monkey found in woods and grassland. It usually lives on roots and insects but can become a pest in civilized areas, roaming in large groups and begging for scraps.
Rhesus macaques can be incredibly annoying and possibly dangerous. They disrupt jobs and bite if cornered or surprised by an awkward dwarf. They are known for stealing things.
They can be tamed, but only in the presence of a Template:L.
They are Template:L, but don't exist in the numbers/ consistency required for a consistent food source.
Theft
Rhesus macaques are able to steal Template:L and Template:L left outside unattended, for instance in a trade depot. If you receive a stolen good message then that means the macaque has already come, taken your item, and left the map.

Rhesus macaques may become the prey of Template:L. However, this cannot be relied upon to eliminate a troop in a timely manner.
The creatures will show up as valid targets on the military screen. They have no organization, and are easily dispatched by even a single shoddily equipped and skilled militia.
