Dwarves are "intelligent" humanoid Template:L that live in Template:Les carved from Template:Ls, and are very well known for their stout appearance and the big Template:Ls covering their faces. They are the featured Template:L of Template:L and are also one of the races playable in Template:L. They are mainly interested in acquiring wealth and rare Template:Ls, especially Template:L. Their most hated enemies are the Template:L Template:Ls.

Dwarves are Template:L-dependent and work slowly if deprived of it for long. Some specimens have been known to develop an Template:L.

Dwarven Template:L become adults at their twelfth birthday.

In accounts of exploits or Template:L, the generic name Urist is sometimes used in place of any specific dwarf name. Several nicknames for dwarves also exist; one of the more common is dorf, but there are others that are less polite.
