Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
A large fish which scavenges along tropical and temperate coastal waters.

Longfin mako sharks are cartilaginous fish that can be found in temperate and tropical oceans. Slightly larger than the average dwarf, they provide a fair amount of meat when butchered. As fully-sized creatures, they can't be fished by fisherdwarves, but can be caught with a drowning chamber. An infant longfin mako shark is called a longfin mako shark pup.

Being cartilaginous, longfin mako sharks won't give bones if butchered (though they'll still provide a skull).

Some dwarves like longfin mako sharks for their speed.

Admired for its speed.
