Troglodytes are fairly common Template:L in the upper Template:L layers, and while an individual may not pose a great threat to a fortress they usually occur in large groups. They are capable of causing serious injury to unarmed civilians, so it is recommended that military dwarves or Template:Ls be used to dispatch any troglodytes which are encountered. They are not butcherable.
