Cougars are somewhat rare large cats that live in shrub- and woodlands. They rarely attack dwarves, preferring instead to wander around far from your fortress.

Cougars can be captured and tamed by a dungeon master. While cougar parts are worth twice as much as domestic animal parts, it will take a long time to start a breeding program unless the elves bring a breeding pair.
