A small forest bird known for the distinctive flaps of skin hanging from its face. It is prized for its meat.

Adult male turkeys are called "turkey goblers", and adult females are called "turkey hens". Young turkeys are simply known at "poults".

Hens which claim a Template:L will regularly lay between 10 and 14 Template:Ls, which can then be collected by a dwarf with the Template:L labor. If a turkey gobbler is present, and the nest is not set to have its eggs collected, the eggs may be fertilized and eventually hatch into chicks. Chicks will grow into adults in 1 year.

Turkeys are a better food source than Template:Ls due to their larger size, which provides more meat and other products when butchered. However, turkeys take two years to reach their full weight, while chickens take only one year. Turkeys will also produce a higher number of eggs on average than chickens.
