Images where the original artist has been contacted

Images where the original artist has not been contacted

Unknown original artist

  • File:Animal_people_prev.jpg, used in animal people. No artist credited. The image is spread across the Internet, and other people outside this wiki also mention the fact that the original artist can't be found.
  • File:Gray_parrot_man.jpg, previously used on grey parrot man, and credited Kitty Eva'ros, though this track seemingly only leads to a Pinterest user of the same name with a bird-person album, and Pinterest accounts are seldom sources. Similarly to the previous image, this one seems so widespread it's impossible to find the original artist.
  • File:Recluse_spider_man.jpg: credits Jim-Cacclabando-Jr, but neither this person or the source of this picture could be found.
  • File:Dwarf_temple.jpg, found in temple: credits Kim Sung Min. The only thing I could find on this was this Pinterest post, by image searching "dwarf temple". Kim Sung Min may or may not be the name of the original artist, it also being the name of an actor makes the search difficult. The original image appears to be at ArtStation, as all pinterest posts link there, but it was deleted.
  • File:Pickaxe_transparent.png (photo) claims Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license, yet doesn't attribute anyone. The image appears a lot on different websites, at least as early as 2012, but no author is seemingly ever credited.
  • File:Dwarf_magic.jpg. Unused image. Claimed license Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, but there is no attribution.
  • File:Dwarf_book.jpg might be from Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Book of Grudges (3rd edition), based on Warhammer wiki. Claimed as a videogame screenshot.
  • File:Magma_flow.gif (animated), used in magma. Claimed license is Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0, but no-one is attributed. Oldest use of the file on the Internet seems to be from user ineedtostealthis on microblogging website soup.io. Unfortunately, the website shut down on 20 July 2020, so this can't be verified, and it's possible that they aren't the author either.
  • File:Gold_bars_old.jpg (photo), used in gold. Claimed as a non-free web screenshot. Oldest hits on reverse search engine link to Mining Journal, and based on the file name, this article might be where the image originally appeared. However, it is behind a paywall.
  • File:Dwarf crossbow.jpg, used in crossbowman. Claimed as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, but no-one is credited.
  • File:Giant_echidna.jpg, claimed license is Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 with no attribution. The image has been on Animal Pictures Archive from 16 September 2005, but the website says that the copyright belongs to the artist. However, the website rather unhelpfully states that the author is unknown.
  • File:Vermin-BloodGnat.jpg: No license claimed. The image appears on Chronicles of Arn wiki. However, the wiki itself states that "This Wikia uses a number of images and concept art found all over the internet."
  • File:Rats2.jpg (photo): The Telegraph credits Alamy. However, there's thousands of rat photos on Alamy, and this one couldn't be found. Claimed license is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, but no-one is attributed.
  • File:Giant octopus.jpg (photo): claimed license is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, but no-one is attributed. The image has been posted a lot on pinterest etc. during the last few years, but the image is at least five years old. No author was found.
  • File:Leather types.jpg (photo) is a very widespread image on the Internet, but there are no mentions of whence it originates. Claimed license is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, but no-one is attributed.
  • File:Giant aardvark.jpg: unused photo, previously used on Giant aardvark. Oldest found instance of this photo is a modified image from 2007 on Stupidedia (German counterpart to Uncyclopedia), which was later marked as a copyright violation. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 with no attribution.
  • File:Gypsum plaster.jpg: claimed license is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 yet no-one is attributed. Appears on many Turkish websites from 2016 onwards, but no clear origin could be found.
  • File:Quicklime.jpeg might be from a photo from Shinde Lime Chemicals' Indiamart page. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 with no attribution.
  • File:Farm_view.jpg, used in farming. Claimed to be public domain as a work of a U.S. Government Agency. No hits on reverse image searches.
  • File:Wool texture.png: based on reverse image searches, probably originates from Miss Amara, although the website doesn't use the image anymore. On this wiki, claimed as a Non-Free Web Screenshot.
  • File:Hair2.jpg might be from DNAlegal, though it seems like a stock photo. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 with no attribution.
  • File:Loon women.png, used in loon man. No hits on reverse image searches. (As a side note, neither creature is a loon woman. One of them is a whooper swan and the other is a barnacle goose). Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 with no attribution.
  • File:Narwhal man.jpg. No results on reverse image searches. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 with no attribution.
  • File:One humped camel man.jpg. Appears on Pinterest, but as said above, Pinterest is usually not the original publishing place of an artwork. Claimed license on this wiki is Non-commercial.
  • File:Parakeet man.png. No results on reverse image searches. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution with no attribution.
  • File:Firefly man.png. Appears on Pinterest with a dead link. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 with no attribution.
  • File:Rope.png, used in chain, appears on Png Valor, uploaded by user Pixel. Pixel claims that the image is free to use as long as attribution is given, but they have also uploaded clearly copyright infringing images, so the origins and the license of the image remains unknown. On this wiki, claimed as a Non-Free Web Screenshot.
  • File:Metal types.jpg, used in metal, might be originally from clipart.com, but it has been removed from there by now. On this wiki, claimed as a Non-Free Web Screenshot.
  • File:Giant turtle.jpg (unused, previously used in gigantic tortoise). Claimed to be public domain as a work of a U.S. Government Agency. Reverse image searches mostly find Pinterest links.
  • File:Kangaroo man.jpg. No results on reverse image searches. Claimed license on this wiki is Non-commercial.
  • File:Coyote man.jpg: credits orf, but neither this person or the source of this picture could be found. Claimed license on this wiki is Non-commercial.
  • File:Animal horn.png (photo), used in horn, is found on multiple clipart sites, all allowing non-commercial usage. It is possible that the original photo is from a webstore. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Flask types.png is a composite image. The metal flask appears on many web stores, for example on Flipkart. The original author is unknown. The source of waterskin and vial is unknown. Claimed license is cc-by-sa-3.0, but there is no attribution. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0.
  • File:Golden salve.png: No hits on reverse image searches. Claimed license is cc-by-sa-3.0, but there is no attribution.
  • File:Blood finger.jpg: No hits on reverse image searches. Claimed license is cc-by-sa-3.0, but there is no attribution.
  • File:Phantom spider.png: Few hits on reverse image searches, but only edited versions of the original photo. Claimed license is cc-by-sa-3.0, but there is no attribution.
  • File:Beeswax bars.jpg, used in wax, might be from Queen Bee Gardens. There are some differences between images: most notably, the reflection is much clearer on this wiki's photo, which might indicate that the photo originates from somewhere else. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Magma smelter.jpg (unused, previously used in magma smelter). The photo is from the smelter in Magma mine, Arizona, USA. The smelter was demolished on 10 November 2018. No hits on reverse image searches. Claimed on this wiki as Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Clay2.jpg is used in multiple web stores, for example tts. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Silt loam.jpg is a stock photo from www.fotosearch.com, but the original author couldn't be found. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Clear garnet.jpg: No hits on reverse image searches, but metadata indicates that the photo is from Ebay. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Tube agate.jpeg: No hits on reverse image searches. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Green zircon.jpg: No hits on reverse image searches. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).

  • File:Red opal.jpg: same as above, the image even appears at the same shady website. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
  • File:Glass green.png appears on many webstores, but the original image couldn't be found. Claimed license on this wiki is Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (with no attribution).
