This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A person with the head and wings of a flying squirrel.

Flying squirrel men are animal people variants of the common flying squirrel who can be found in savage temperate forests. They spawn in groups of 3-5 individuals and are generally content to keep to themselves. In terms of size, they are a little over half the weight of the average dwarf. They are born with Legendary skill in climbing.

Like other savage animal people, they can join civilizations, become historical figures, appear as visitors and be playable in adventurer mode.

Some dwarves like flying squirrel men for their gliding and their large eyes.

D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

Flying squirrel people do not have any kind of alliance with hedgehog men, fox men nor echidna men, or armadillo men. They also do not have any egg-shaped human rivals capable of world domination.

Despite what the artistic depictions of humans would convey, flying squirrel men are not companions of moose men.
