A person with the head and shell of a pond turtle.

Pond turtle men are an amphibious animal people that inhabit pools and ponds. They possess shells like their smaller brethren, which they can retract into when threatened. Unlike pond turtles, however, pond turtle people shells cannot normally be extracted for use in crafts and strange moods.

Currently, only vermin creatures will spawn in pools and ponds, so your dwarves will never actually encounter pond turtle people. Some dwarves, however, may still prefer pond turtle people for their shells
