Giant is an understatement -- a worm corpse of merely average weight is around 200 kilograms.
Giant earthworms are predictably nonagressive, but they should be able to inflict some damage to a dwarf due to their size. However, due to them having a brain in their whole body and no bones to protect the brain, it is very easy to kill them.
