Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A small black and white mammal. It is capable of spraying a stinking fluid.

Skunks are small creatures found in a number of temperate biomes. They are solitary and benign meanderers, who do little but wander around your surroundings aimlessly, which makes them easy target for even the most inexperienced of hunters. Unlike in real life, skunks lack any ability to spray stink at people. Young skunks are called kits.

Skunks can be captured in cage traps and trained into exotic pets. They're smaller than cats and provide an equally small amount of returns when butchered, making them poor targets for a meat industry.

Some dwarves like skunks for their foul smell and their distinctive striping.
