Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A swift, long-eared rodent with long legs and a short fluffy tail.
Not to be confused with rabbits.

Hares are similar to rabbits, but have a higher pet value. Like rabbits, they give birth to 1 child at a time. Similar to rabbits, females are called "doe hares", and males are called "buck hares".

Hares are much larger than rabbits and will provide meat and other products when butchered, and are therefore more worthwhile than rabbits (although they provide little more than a kakapo).

Unlike rabbits, they have animal man and giant variations.

Admired for their long ears and fluffy tails
