The Smilodon, (also known as a Saber-Tooth Tiger, Saber-Tooth Cat or just Saber-Cat, though not ever refered to as any of these in-game) is a large, extinct carnivorous feline from the Pleistocene. Alongside other real-world extinct animals, they must be enabled during world creation to appear.

Smilodons seem to be mostly solitary, however they are very dangerous even alone. Taming and capturing a Smilodon may be extremely beneficial, as they make for great war beasts.
